NEW Fremont City COUNCIL SHOULD HEAR WALNUT RESIDENCES

Attend the City Council meeting tomorrow, Tuesday the 1st, and ask the City Council to make the City Staff postpone the scheduled hearing for Walnut Residences from November 15th until the first City Council meeting which includes the Council members elected on November 8th. The newly elected City Council is usually seated in December after the 30-day election validation by the County. That may well be on December 13, 2016. Several people responded to our plea to email the City for a postponement. They felt that Walnut Residences was a major development that should be heard by the City Council that the people had just elected. Despite those emails, we received the email below stating that the hearing would be on November 15th. Please attend tomorrow night's City Council meeting at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers, Building A, 3300 Capitol Avenue. Fill out a card to speak at 4. Public Communications-A. Oral and Written Communications and voice your opinion! http://frem

What's Happenning in Union City October 2016

UCPD Respond To James Logan Fight Last Friday night, during a James Logan Football game, two groups got into a fight in the snack bar area. Four on-duty UCPD officers were able to break up the fight, but had to call for backup when the crowd surrounded them and became unruly. As officers started to gain control of the situation, school administrators told officers that another fight was happening nearby outside the school grounds. As officers headed out to the second fight, one gunshot was heard coming from the area of Tulane and Syracuse Ave. Officers attempted to detain one group of individuals running down Tulane. Everyone listened to instructions from officers and stopped running, but one person broke off from the group and fled into a backyard. Not knowing if the person who ran was armed, officers quickly set up a perimeter. Contra Costa Sheriff's Office sent a helicopter (hopefully this addresses people's questions about a helicopter on Friday night!). Within a minute or
