Discover Opportunities for Post-Secondary Education Outside a Four-Year Degree.

With school back in session, high schools across the Bay Area are hosting College/Career Fairs for students ready for the next phase of their lives. A four-year degree is valuable, but considering the cost and time commitment, not everyone is interested in a traditional university path. For students not attending a four-year university, how can we prevent them from falling into low-skilled, low-wage jobs?

The City of Fremont Human Services Department developed the Workforce Training Resource (WTR) as a free tool for the community. The WTR offers a wide range of low-cost/free, short-term, post-secondary training and educational opportunities throughout the Bay Area, including Adult Regional Occupational Programs, Pre-Apprenticeships, Apprenticeships, nonprofit-sponsored certificate programs, and California Community College Career Education Certificates, among others. The site also includes links to financial aid, resources for entrepreneurs, Bay Area growth industries, salary data, and Labor Market Information.

The WTR is the gateway to diverse local, low-cost, and free training programs.

Please visit our website to learn more about the programs available in the Bay Area.
