Earth Day Banner

Greetings from Supervisor Haubert

Dear District 1,

As we enter April, I’m excited to recognize Earth Day on April 22—a time to celebrate our planet and reflect on how we can better care for it. This season is a great opportunity to get outdoors and take simple, meaningful steps to protect our environment.

Whether it’s reducing waste, conserving water, or joining a local cleanup, every action—no matter how small—makes a difference. Supporting sustainability and climate efforts remains a key priority for our office as we work to protect our environment for future generations.

In this newsletter, you’ll find ideas and resources to help you get involved during Earth Month. We also invite District 1 residents to share photos of your Earth Day activities for a chance to be featured in our next newsletter!

Use this form to submit your photos by 4/22:

Supervisor Haubert Awards $450,000 to Establish New Quest Science Center

Quest Science Center Award Check

I am pleased to announce that I have awarded $450,000 to Quest Science Center to help bring a permanent, hands-on science center to the Tri-Valley.

Planned in partnership with the City of Livermore, the center will serve more than 100,000 residents and visitors each year. The center will provide interactive science and technology experiences that engage people of all ages and backgrounds, inspiring the next generation of innovators and bringing opportunity to the Tri-Valley for years to come.

I have seen the impact Quest has had in the region over the past five years and am enthused by the opportunity before us to expand that impact to a permanent location that will enable our future workforce, economic development, and quality of life.
