Sales of previously owned homes rose 5.6 percent in November, according to
data just released by the National Association of Realtors. Distressed homes
accounted for 33 percent of the month's total sales volume. Housing
inventory at the end of November fell 4 percent to 3.71 million existing
homes available for sale.
