Car Safety Kits - Here What you need

Creating a car safety kit is very easy and fairly inexpensive when
considering the alternative. The following are a number of items you might
want to consider. Of course, you don't have to compile everything on this
list, and not everything you might want to include may be listed below. But,
when making your kit, consider your environment, your driving habits and any
potential hazards that may occur and that will make assembling your kit a
whole lot easier.

Here are few items you might already have around the house:

Jumper cables; roadside flares; quarts of oil; antifreeze; a first aid kit;
a blanket; fuses; flash light and extra batteries; an assortment of tools
including flathead and Phillips screwdrivers, pliers, vise grips, wrench,
and one of those multi-purpose tools or a pocket knife; tire gauge; tire
inflator; flat repair kit; ice scraper and snow chains (depending on your
location); pen and paper; bottled water; rags; and maybe even long-lasting
food items like granola or energy bars.

It might seem like a lot of stuff to carry around in your trunk, but get a
small sleeping bag and roll-up everything inside. When organized this way,
you'll find that it doesn't take up that much room to have the peace of mind
that comes along with being prepared. After all, if you only need this kit
once to help you get back safely on the road, then it's all been worth it.
