PSAT Test Results

On Thursday, 1/8/15, Logan counselors met with all sophomores who took the PSAT earlier in the school year.  The PSAT is a practice test for the SAT, a college preparatory exam required by many universities.  Furthermore, the PSAT is a great indicator of success in AP classes.  The students were also given access to My College Quickstart - an individualized online account where students can review their PSAT results, prepare for the SAT with personalized study guides, and see colleges & careers that match their interests.  Logan counselors encourage parents to further discuss these results with their sophomore .  To learn more about the PSAT, please visit our school website ( - view the short video and the slideshow shown to students today.  A sample score report is also available.

Academic Achievement Night / Open House

Logan will host its annual Academic Achievement Night / Open House on February 19.  Parents & community members are invited to visit their students' teachers and attend a variety of workshops - financial aid, college admissions, and much more!  More information to come soon.

Kindergarten - Grade 5 Math Instructional Materials Preview
The New Haven Unified School District engaged in a process of piloting two different sets of instructional materials as a part of the process in adopting new common core aligned mathematics materials.

We began the pilot of INVESTIGATIONS in September and then the pilot of BRIDGES in October.

In accordance with Board Policy, we are now interested in gathering input / feedback from any K-5 teachers and any parent / community member.

Items from both INVESTIGATIONS and BRIDGES will be on display at the district office located at 34200 Alvarado Niles Road in Union City on Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:00pm. Input will be collected until Friday, January 23, 2015.

As you arrive to the district office, please sign in as you walk through the lobby. The sign in sheet and the materials are located directly to your left.
