Downtown Date Night at Fremont Street Eats

Featuring the 50 Tour: Champions of the Bay

 

Join the City of Fremont, Fremont Chamber of Commerce, and The Food Truck Mafia for Downtown Date Night at Fremont Street Eats on Friday, September 18 starting at 4:30 p.m. Enjoy a fun night out on the town complete with a delicious variety of gourmet food trucks, the 50 Tour, which will feature eight Vince Lombardi trophies, and at sunset, an outdoor movie "Remember the Titans" (PG) on the big screen (bring your chairs)! 

Downtown Date Night and Fremont Street Eats are free to the public and will be held on Liberty Street at Capitol Avenue, near City Hall. For more information about the event, visit www.fremont.gov/downtowndatenight and for more information about the 50 Tour, visit www.Fremont.gov/SuperCommunity.

Liberty Street (between Capitol Ave. and Beacon Ave.) will be closed from Friday, 9/18 at 11 a.m. to Saturday, 9/19 at 2 a.m.

• 39039 Paseo Padre Parkway
• 39111 Paseo Padre Parkway – Event parking only available on the 2nd floor of the parking structure  
• 39055 Hastings Street
• 2500 Mowry Avenue
• Town Fair Shopping Center - Corner of State Street and Capitol Avenue
• Street parking is also available throughout the area.

• Disabled parking is available at 39055 Hastings Street and at Fremont City Hall.

A client was asking my how they could reduce they MAGI (modified adjusted gross income), below the $150,000 threshold for Married Filing Jointly. The answer was I don't practice as a CPA anymore. Having said, that I was still curious, so the the only way to reduce MAGI which is AGI (line 37 on the bottom of page 1 of the 2008 form 1040) is to reduce taxable income (defer income or increase 401k withholding) or increase the deductions to get to AGI (which are IRA, SEP and Healthcare account deductions). Take a look at the 1040 Form Or one could choose to quit working or take some unpaid time off - hey it's worth considering. If anyone other ideas, please do share. FAQ on the $8000 credit
