StopWaste Ambassador Program Now Accepting Applications

The City is sharing this news from StopWaste, a local partner agency focused on reducing waste in Alameda County.

 

StopWaste Ambassador Program for 2022-2023

Join the StopWaste Ambassador Program (SWAP) and take action toward a thriving, climate-resilient community for all!

StopWaste is looking to partner with Alameda County middle school and high school student-adult partnership teams to develop waste reduction and climate action related projects. Under this program, students become ambassadors who take action to educate their peers on environmental topics.

SWAP Youth Leaders will receive $300 action stipends, and SWAP Adult Allies will receive $500 action stipends upon completion of the program.

To qualify, all team members must be a student or adult ally that study, live, or work in Alameda County. 

Winter cohort applications are due Tuesday, December 6. Spring cohort applications are due Friday, December 16.
