2nd installment of the 2022-2023 Secured Property Tax is due on Wednesday, February 1, 2023

This is a reminder that the 2nd installment of the 2022-2023 Secured Property Tax is due on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 and becomes delinquent after Monday, April 10, 2023. After which a 10% delinquent penalty and $10 cost will be assessed.

You can get information about your property tax including payment status, submitting a payment by eCheck or credit card or get answers to Frequently Asked Questions at the Alameda County Tax Collector's Web Page or by phone at (510) 272-6800. 

Mail Early! Penalty is charged on all late postmarks. We encourage everyone to pay the property taxes safely using the following non-contact options:

  • Mail in your check, postmarked on or before April 10, 2023
  • Pay online either by eCheck (free of charge) or credit card with a small convenience fee of 2.5% - Tax Payment Web Page
  • Pay on the phone with a credit card using the automated system at (510) 272-6800 by selecting option 1 after the greeting and following the prompts
  • Pay through your bank's Bill-Pay service. This must be done well before April 10, 2023 to allow your bank's processing system enough time to process your request and mail the payment to our office; use your parcel number to identify your property
  • DO NOT SEND cash payments. Please use a personal check or obtain a cashier's check or money order and mail immediately. You can also wire your payment electronically (see Wiring Instructions below) - Wire Transfer
  • Use the dropbox at the entrance of the building at 1221 Oak St, Oakland CA 94612 which is available to the public Monday to Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. excluding County holidays. DO NOT DROP OFF CASH PAYMENTS
  • Use the mail slot in our Hayward Business License office located at 224 W. Winton Ave, Room 169, Hayward CA 94544 Monday to Friday from 8:30 A.M to 4:30 P.M. excluding County holidays. DO NOT DROP OFF CASH PAYMENTS

Your cancelled check is your receipt. If you still need a receipt provided by our office, please provide a self-addressed stamped envelope together with your payment.
