| As the 2023 holiday giving season ends, the City of Fremont would like to take a moment to thank the many supporters who donated needed items or made financial contributions to the Human Services Department to help the community.
Sponsors of the Human Services Giving Hope program fulfilled wish lists for 183 individuals, including those currently living in the Winter Relief Program. The Fremont community showed its support for our unhoused neighbors, making more than $10,000 in financial contributions along with over $17,000 in value of in-kind donations. Donors also contributed over $11,000 for unsponsored wish lists and to help the Urgent Needs Fund that helps with emergency needs year-round.
With the support of the Fremont Community, Human Services will be able to provide direct support to our neighbors when they need it most. Thank you!

The California Housing Finance Agency (CalHFA) just launched another round of funding for the California Dream For All Shared Appreciation Loan Program. This is a down payment assistance program for first-time homebuyers to be used in conjunction with the Dream For All Conventional first mortgage for down payment and/or closing costs. To learn more, visit the program website and find out how to connect with a CalHFA Approved Lender. Homebuyers will have until this April to find an approved lender and start working on an application. A lottery will open in early April, and buyers will have a month to submit their applications. | | | Salaam Food Pantry in South Fremont The Salaam Food Pantry holds monthly food distributions on the 4th Saturday of the month except during November and December when it is held earlier. The food distribution is from 10 - 11:30 a.m., with lunch provided from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Salaam Food Pantry is located at the Islamic Center of Fremont at 4039 Irvington Avenue. Bay Area residents can apply online or by using the paper application from the Fremont FRC. Income guidelines apply, and proof of income is required. Drivers will need a FasTrak® account and toll tag to receive discounts.
