Jan. 30, 2024 City of Fremont Human Services Department Weekly Update

Weekly Update January 30 2024
Image of thank you written in many languages

As the 2023 holiday giving season ends, the City of Fremont would like to take a moment to thank the many supporters who donated needed items or made financial contributions to the Human Services Department to help the community.

Sponsors of the Human Services Giving Hope program fulfilled wish lists for 183 individuals, including those currently living in the Winter Relief Program. The Fremont community showed its support for our unhoused neighbors, making more than $10,000 in financial contributions along with over $17,000 in value of in-kind donations.  Donors also contributed over $11,000 for unsponsored wish lists and to help the Urgent Needs Fund that helps with emergency needs year-round.

With the support of the Fremont Community, Human Services will be able to provide direct support to our neighbors when they need it most. Thank you!

Needs are not limited to the holiday season. If you are interested in supporting the work of the Human Services Department, visit the City of Fremont's Give Back page to learn how you can help.
