Fremont Mayor Lily Mei will present the annual State of the City Address on Wednesday, June 26, at 10:00 a.m. at the Fremont Downtown Event Center, located at 3500 Capitol Ave. The event is free and open to the public (no ticket required). The Fremont Chamber of Commerce is hosting this event. In 2019, the City of Fremont established its first Age-Friendly Action Plan for 2020-2025. An Age-Friendly City is a livable city for everyone. Older adults should feel safe, healthy, and happy living in Fremont. Aging and Family Services is in the process of updating this plan for the next five years. One of the first steps is to survey the community about its feelings regarding what it's like to age in Fremont and better understand the concerns and needs of older adults in the community.
