Alameda County Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) The Alameda County Public Health WIC Program supports families with children ages 0–5, as well as pregnant and postpartum women, by providing nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and healthy food benefits redeemable at participating grocery stores. WIC also offers summer farmers market benefits and is transitioning from paper checks to an electronic card. Details coming soon.
Education is available online, in person, or by phone. WIC has five locations: North Oakland, East Oakland, Hayward, Fremont, and Livermore.
Community Partnerships WIC partners with several County programs, including the Office of Dental Health (ODH), which provides dental screenings and fluoride varnish for young children.
On July 9, ODH will offer Kindergarten Oral Health Assessments (KOHA)—required for school entry—in the Pacific Room at the FRC.

Our Homeless Services team hosts drop-in hours every Thursday at the Housing Resource Center at the FRC. This is an opportunity for people seeking housing problem-solving support, shelter assessments, referrals, or housing assessments. If you can't visit the HRC, call 2-1-1 for assistance.
The HRC also offers drop-in services for anyone wishing to receive legal assistance, job/career assistance and general health services through the BACH Mobile Health Van. See the HRC flyer which includes the schedule of drop-in services.
