New School Testing Results are In

Just got this from the Principal at Thornton:

Dear Thornton Community:

Today, September 9th, the State of California released the results of the 2015 CAASP which your child may have taken in the spring of 2015.  The results released will reflect school and district performance from around the state.

Reports for individual students will be mailed to FUSD families later this month. The Department of Education has made a video available to help parents interpret their child’s results. To see the video, click here, or visit the home page of the FUSD website at www.fusd.k12.ca.us (Spanish and Mandarin versions available). For a full summary of CAASPP results, click here or visit http://caaspp.cde.ca.gov/. 

I will keep you updated as the information comes in.  Overall, Thornton did well and we now have a starting point to grow from.  I plan to work with the PTSA and plan an evening on campus in which we will answer questions and go over what the scores mean. Stay tuned!!
